Hello all, this is Marlon Barrios Solano.
I am the leader of the meta_media lab @ ImPulsTanz 2014.
You may have seen us around doing video interviews and asking you key words about the experience of watching some the [8:Tension] performances!
The meta_media lab is embedded within the festival environment investigating the potential and implications of digital technologies and network spaces for cross-media storytelling and knowledge production.
In the last two weeks, lab members Franzi Kreis, Rocio Marano, Charlotta Ruth and me, have been exploring with discussions, and projects different aspects of digital photography, notions of experience mapping with information visualization, video interviews, online editing, online encounters and discussions, mobile phones and Augmented Reality.
We are focusing on the [8:Tensions] your choreographers exploring interviews and encounters; also the lab participants are developing individual projects that follow their own line of inquiry:
What is portrait is the era of digital networks?.
What is the relationship between what the artists say that they do and the audience experience about their work?.
What is the boundary between the private and the public?.
what are the implications of these kind of environments for traditional notions of documentation?.
What kinds of encounter and traces are we creating?.
What is presence and contact in a networked environment and face to face?
What is the potential of networked environments for redefining the boundaries of a festival and education?
We are also open for DanceWEBers and curious minds from Monday to Friday from 1 to 6pm.
Visit us in the second floor of the Arsenal Festival building. We are above the workshop office to the right of the computers.
Of course, follow this space and interact with us!
